Our corporate team posesses expertise at all levels of the financial marketing process, from concept to campaign creation. We have backgrounds as CEOs of public companies, in investment banking, affinity marketing, design, business journalism and investment communications. A.J. Cervantes
President and CEO
Over the last twenty-five years of business, A.J. Cervantes has accumulated extensive experience in diversified businesses with a proven strength in corporate finance and communications which spans numerous industries and products. His experience includes strategic planning, corporate branding and positioning, mergers and acquisitions, business development, reverse mergers and reorganization of middle market companies. A.J. also has a comprehensive understanding of securities and corporate law.
As the driving force behind Trilogy, A.J. Cervantes’ mission has been to identify undervalued companies and propel those companies to a postion of dominance in their respective marketplaces. In A.J.’s view, Trilogy is a “next generation” financial services company with a fully integrated marketing approach to generate significant visibility for undervalued companies ranging from highly proactive, technology-driven communications including sophisticated targeted email, direct mail, and one-on-one sales to a substantial and proprietary institutional database.
Prior to his work with Trilogy, throughout the 90s, A.J. was engaged in the reorganization and recapitalization of troubled middle market companies serving as interim CEO for a number of public and private entities, facilitating both Chapter 11 and out-of-court reorganizations. In the 1980s, A.J. served as president and CEO of Mediacom Industries, Inc., a publicly held company engaged in the finance, production and distribution of feature film and television productions. Prior to Mediacom, he founded and served as president of the international independent music company Butterfly Records, distributed by MCA Records domestically and EMI Music internationally. Butterfly was sold to Rhino Records, a division of Warner Music in the late 80s.
He also is the founder and former chairman of All Children Count, Inc., a non-profit 501 (c)3 foundation formed in 1992 to provide special services for HIV-infected children and their families, principally through Bethesda House, the Salvation Army’s Residential AIDS facility in Los Angeles. A.J. graduated from Webster University in St. Louis, with a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies. [ top ]
Darren Minton
Executive Vice President
Darren provides a depth of knowledge and expertise on small and mid-cap companies, complementing Trilogy’s focus on highly targeted and robust Financial Communications initiatives. His experience analyzing, advising and communicating a strong message for public companies through a variety of capacities has given him a broad understanding for their needs and how to help them navigate the US capital markets and Wall Street. Darren deals with management teams on an ongoing basis in order to make sure communication flows smoothly to the investment community and vice versa. It is crucial for our organization to make information as transparent as possible and help these companies cope in the increasingly light-speed environment of corporate communication, disclosure and investor relations. Darren has a keen ability to quickly adapt to a management team’s unique work style and develop a comprehensive understanding of each company’s current financial position and its goals for the future.
Prior to working at Trilogy, Darren worked at Winning IR Company and later China America Financial Communications Group where he helped craft and implement comprehensive investor relations programs and initiatives for US-listed Chinese operating companies. Prior to that, he worked at China Finance, a China-based investment company, where he held a range of duties including market research, financial analysis and investor relations support. In previous work experience, Darren was an Asset Management Analyst for Mesa West Capital, and worked at China US Venture and First Republic Bank’s Palo Alto office. Darren holds a BA in Economics from Stanford University. [ top ]
Norman A. Kunin, CPA
Senior Vice President
Norman, a highly skilled and experienced financial executive, brings a wealth of diversified accounting and financial management experience. His professional career encompasses more than thirty-five years of financial and accounting positions, beginning as a New York-based Certified Public Accountant. After the sale of his public accounting partnership to Touche, Ross & Co. in the 1970s, Norman formed American Equities, Inc., a financial services firm dealing primarily with capital formation for real estate and entertainment industry limited partnerships and limited liability companies. Norman has served as Chief Financial Officer for a number of publicly held companies in industries ranging from manufacturing and publishing to direct marketing and health related products and services. He is also Senior Vice President of Trilogy Capital Partners, and principal of Kunin Business Consulting, a Los Angeles area-based company providing consultancy services for a variety of private and publicly held companies. Kim Fishman
Senior Vice President, Marketing
Kim manages and coordinates the various elements of our client visibility campaigns, serving as liaison between our content and creative/design teams to expedite the worldwide distribution of client news and investor information across all media channels. Kim’s background combines film production, finance and information technology project management. She spent five years as Senior Business Analyst and IT Project Manager for the Dallas-based firm, Igneite Systems, consulting with clients such as Citigroup AutoFinancials, Verio/NTT, and NetSuccess. As founder of Los Angeles-based Hear No Evil Films LLC, Kim produced award-winning documentaries and feature films, including the HBO/Cinemax documentary 39 Pounds of Love, which was short-listed for the 2006 Academy Awards for Best Documentary. Kim also produced and coordinated video content Capessa.com, a social networking website owned by Proctor & Gamble Productions. Most recently Kim served as Vice President of Marketing for New York City private investment firm, Regeneration Capital Group, LLC. Kim holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas. [ top ]
Olivia Tong
Vice President, Business Development
As Vice President, Olivia heads the Business Development function through nurturing existing strategic partnerships in order to grow Trilogy’s client base. She maintains knowledge of issuers and capital markets as well as manages relationships with leading broker dealers, PIPE funds and mutual funds. Prior to working at Trilogy, Olivia worked with the business development teams at the Warrant Strategies Fund and CCG Investor Relations. Olivia attended the University of Michigan and graduated with a degree in Political Science. [ top ]
Jacalyn Guo
Financial Analyst
Jacalyn brings to Trilogy valuable experience with many aspects of public company communications, with particular focus on Chinese operating companies listed publicly in the United States. Her previous positions include Vice President for Universal Travel Group. She is fluent in both English and Chinese/Mandarin and plays a key role in many of our client communications and business development initiatives. Jacalyn's recent background includes two years as Vice President of Corporate Development for public companies, where her responsibilities included development of press releases, public filings, investor relations, Chinese-English translation and other duties. She holds a Master of Business Administration degree. [ top ]
